Of course when you are in charge of your time and work alone, you have to make sure that you have a job for each days / week or month, you’re not attach to any companies, so it’s not stable. There is no monthly payment for you (unless you found a long term project), then you have to create an income on your own. And when you don’t have any jobs or projects, that’s where the pressure comes. 

  1. More freedom

Yes, the rumor is true, you can work everywhere, while traveling. If you’re bored you can easily go to the spa massage to relax without asking anyone, you’re the boss of yourself. As long as you meet the deadline. So do whatever you want, no one cares. But finish the job on time, bring good results, that’s the key to stay freedom. 

  1. More discipline

When you know that you can choose to spend your time to sleep, to scroll social media or to start working…sometimes it’s really hard to choose to work because the bed is so warm or your tiktok keeps suggesting you interesting videos. So in order to keep everything in the right place, you have to say goodbye to your comfort zone and start schedule time to work so that you won’t be starving

  1. More skills

If you think that you are good as your major and you have the right skills for the job, that’s still might not be enough. You also need the communication skills in order to ask for the job, need sales skill to persuade that you’re the right one for the job, need time-management skill so that you can manage to finish the job on time,…and so on.

  1. More lonely

Understand that we can meet many clients after each project, but sometimes working as a freelancer doesn’t need much socialize. We have our own home-office, manage our own tasks, then sometimes I really miss making jokes with my colleagues and have a drink afterward. But to look on the bright side we can stay away from all the work dramas and toxic colleagues / boss.
